No big update for today. First of all, as I have holidays my day is packed and I am tired. Had some sightseeing today and tonight we went to a fantastic variete show (flic flac, if anyone is interested). Incredible, what these people can to with and to their bodies.

The big update is due for the weekend, when we will have either made a fortune selling the nokia 8800 sirocco’s or when we went bankrupt I believe strongly, that the latter will not happen but that we will make around 1.500€ in cash. If we then pull this stunt once more the overnxt weekend we are quite on track.

We anyhow need to ensure this source of income, as the slope gets steeper and the oscar is selling out I have like some 8 or 9 left, of which 5 are sold already and 3 are on display on ebay. I need to keep at least one, because I am really into getting this one produced again. I already posted a buying lead on alibaba.com and got 2 responses. They even propose to make this beauty in metal, however, I fear that it will get too expensive. Anyway, I made photos of the oscar today and will send them to these guys with detailed measurements. Let’s see what they can come up with. The best thing would be, if I would not pay them for producing this, but if I would buy this oscar from them. They can keep the idea, if they supply me with a batch of like 100 oscars or so. Selling them one by one on ebay is feasible, but selling quantities like 100 a batch here could pose a problem, since I am still not too sure about the copyright problemacy.

But honestly. If you need one example, why Germany’s economy is going downhill, then it is alibaba.com. How comes, that I can post a request for getting a somple plastic figure on some internet board and get 3 responses from some manufacturers in china within an hour ? Give me one german company that would have this kind of reaction time let alone that they would never scan any internet board for this kind of chances ever. Western civilization has a habit to look downwards on asian countries. In a few years however, they will very likely have to change their minds and look up to the new leading economies of which one will for sure be china. These guys offering me to build my oscar figure will in a couple of years produce car parts, and a decade later hightech, And if not, then they at least still look out for chances on how to incerase their output. In Germany, sales people seem to have a nine to five job, and it surely does not include being familiar with the internet.

So, I am glad that M. is alright and that everything seems to be as kind of normal as things can be when your country undergoes a revolution. However, there is a saying: Buy on the sound of cannons, sell on the sound of trumpets. Why is that ? Well, because when the cannons blast, everyone is selling in panic and you can get their stock cheap. Then, when the horns tell of the peace, the prices rise again and you can sell them to those buying again. Simple
