Well, I know that the stock markets have something very similar to playing the lottery. With regards to this, I made a nice fortune yesterday. Unfortunately it was all paper trades and totally unintentionally as well.

Pimping MySpace Profiles

It all happened while pimping the profile of our investment banking stud, Mark. Remember: Mark is our fake profile we use for testing the marketing on myspace.com. Anyway, while playing with badder adder (the tool to add friends automated and on the fly) I focused on getting other investment bankers. So, I “befriended” this guy, called “Wallstreet #1 Trader”. Right, he sure is. Yesterday, he wrote me a mail. ” so what is it that you guys are buying and feel real bullish on “.

Right. What is it, we guys at Merril Lynch (where Mark works) are bullish on. As always, Google is your friend. “bullish stock pick”. This led to “GROW”. The first hit, was the chart for GROW. U.S. Global Investors Inc.

So, I gave him GROW.

Today thoguh, I got a reply. “nice pic on GROW”. I am sure, he meant nice pick, so I checked GROW. And guess what? Right. GROW grew 11.31%. Nice pic(k) indeed. Unfortunately, I wasn’t in.
Making eBay progress

It was anyhow a successfull day, as we finally resolved our eBay issues. We are cleared for cross birder trades. This morning, I contacted eBay Singapore via live help and finally got to a competent person. They quickly checked for my credentials and as they were correct, she cleared me. So, this is done. Finally, I feel so relieved.

As I will be out for 2 days, the first trade will not start before Saturday evening.

Technical Hickups

The script we need to get to work for our viral marketing story has some hickups due to the mail functions used. They use sendmail, which is as usual, not allowed on our webservers. So, I have to modify the script to run with MailFactory. i am successfull so far, have rewritten the mail routines and am testing right now. I will become a great php programmer one day ;)

As I am tired as hell and have a hell of a day tomorrow as well, I will hit bed now and jumpstart into business on the weekend. See you all, no posts tomorrow, so stay tuned for the weekend show ;)
